Carrie Fisher looks a lot better than she did the last time I saw her in public. I hope she's not back on the Empire Strikes Back Official Weightloss Program.

Cocaine.

I do think she's aged better of the two of them.

Agreed.

Disney getting ready to milk the franchise:

"Beginning next year, the studio will release at least one “Star Wars” movie a year. New comic books, novels, theme park attractions and videogames are in the works from every corner of the Disney empire.

This Friday a new animated series, “Star Wars Rebels,” debuts on the Disney Channel. It’s the first “Star Wars” work produced by Disney and, as such, is sure to be scrutinized by fans

Rebels has gotten some good reviews for what that is worth. Star Wars rides at the parks would be cool. Disneyland seriously fucked up Tomorrowland 15-ish ago and it has yet to really recover. Some more Star Wars attractions would help.

They should milk the franchise. There's a lot of really cool expanded universe stuff out there that I'd love to see get movie adaptations. If done right, I think you could have a cinematic universe as strong as what Marvel has going now.

Marvel published official Star Wars comic books for several years (7 or so) in the 70s and 80s. Now owned by Disney, they almost certainly still have those rights. I expect to see the return of Star Wars comics from Marvel sometime soon (within a year).

Oh yea, I have some of those comics, they're awesome. Would love to see some of those again.

I know that Dark Horse published, or re-published some of those old Marvel comics in omnibus editions. That was when Dark Horse had the rights to Star Wars comics, before Disney.

I don't have a problem with them milking the franchise, at least not yet. As long as it's quality that they put out and that they don't dumb it all down to fit younger audiences...

They aren't milking the MCU? Four movies a year. The Star Wars universe, if properly managed, has the ability to be just as prolific.

Exactly it comes down to quality. If they can release a good movie every year ... bring it on. If they cannot, then they should not. The universe is certainly large enough to manage it. Look at all the hours of Star Trek (movies and TV) ... there is some crap in there, but the majority is of good (or better) quality. No reason Star Wars cannot be the same.

I'm gonna watch Star Wars Rebels sometime this weekend. Greg Weisman, who created my favourite cartoon of all time, ran the first season. Can't wait.

Oh I had no idea it as him. Gargoyles was one of my favorite shows growing up and his version of Spiderman was decent as well. I'm definitely more interested now. Not big on the animation style though.

Someone has probably already talked about this, but I'm dying to get my hands on Star Wars Battlefront 3. I think that is gonna be freaking amazing and probably what will drive me to by an Xbox 1.
