Official Star Wars Thread

LOL, "I am THE LAAAW!" No wait... that's the shitty one.

Good vid. The original trilogy is a child of it's time, There are no women, but the princess and there are no black people save Lando. The new trilogy is teaming with diversity although diversity not a good movie makes.

How many prominent characters are there in the prequels?

Seriously, the other day I tried very hard to remember the name of the one Samuel L. Jackson played... and what he was actually doing... except yielding his lightsabre.

Mace Windu!
I've never properly read any of the extended universe novels, mostly wiki's and such, but there are honestly much better stories in the EU.

Same old argument: the films should make sense without the expanded universe.

If there is something in the EU that makes sense, they should use it .. but not worry about sticking to it at all. Someone posted a rumor that Korriban would be in the new movie ... if so, that would be cool ...and they could take the general look, name , and general purpose of the planet from Knights of the Old Republic .. but I would not expect them to do anything beyond that

I'm all for making a film out of an EU novel if it's a good story. Just... have it make sense for those who only watch the movies.

Exactly ... if they want to throw in some EU Easter Eggs .. like use an EU name for a planet that is mentioned in passing or something like that .. that stuff is kinda cool for the big time fans .. but plot points should not depend on someone having read an EU book
