Frenkie De Jong is peobably the best young midfielder in the world right now. What an amazing talent.
Let's hope he'll be good tonight!

The last time the Netherlands won from France was in 1981!

Tonight:

Netherlands:
Cillessen, Dumfries, De Ligt,
v. Dijk, Blind, De Roon, Wijnaldum,
F. de Jong, Bergwijn, Depay, Babel

France:
Lloris, Pavard, Varane,
Kimpembe, Digne, Mbappé, Nzonzi, Kanté,
Matuidi, Griezmann, Giroud

2-0 !!!!! The World Champions were not great. But we were BRILLIANT!!!!! Nearly perfect. So much individual quality but also such a great TEAM.

A new dawn has come.

Didn't see the match but beating Germany and France, and with such clear scorelines, is no joke. The Dutch have a bright future, great young talents.

Ajax has really hit it out of the park with their 1997-1999 generation, Matthijs de Ligt, Donny van de Beek, Frenkie de Jong and Justin Kluivert. Those guys, especially the first three are going to be huge for the national team.

Unbelievable. Scotland won 4-0 away to Albania.

:bigsurprise:

It helped that the Albanian captain got himself sent off in the first half thiugh.

Just a draw at home to Israel in a couple of days and Scotland top their Nations League group.

YEAH!!! Made it to the Final Four in the Nations League!!!

1. NEDERLAND 4- 7 ( 8- 4)
2. Frankrijk 4- 7 ( 4- 4)
3. Duitsland 4- 2 ( 3- 7)

Thanks! Congrats to England. And also Norway with promotion to division B @Dr. Eddies Wingman !

What a match with a bizarre end. We weren't very good. Several players were not as good as vs France. I was pissed off about Koeman's decision to leave out Dumfries who was brilliant vs France. What a warrior. Won every duel and was important in attacks as well.

But now the end. We are 2-1 behind. Koeman* writes something on a paper, which is given via some players to Virgil de Jong. Instruction: go to the front, and attack. Then he gets the ball. Fantastic volley. The 2-1 by Promes was very good as well. Germany was pretty good, definitely the best in the first half. I constantly hoped we could equalize, it took very long, but it happened. *phew*

edit:
*Koeman just said in an interview that one of two assistants made the plan and wrote the little note (Dwight Lodeweges or Kees van Wonderen).

Not really. The remark was a reference to the late goals.

Happiness in Holland, however... surely increases!
