Official American Football Thread

I am glad that the Green Bay Union Workers defeated the Washington DC Racists at your national game, handegg. I hope they do very well, but I am still cheering for the Boston Commons Revolutionaries.

Redskins really blew the game, they had chance to pile on some points early on and make the Pack 1 dimensional. All 4 road teams won, amazing.

your national game, handegg.

Please don't do that in this thread. I'm aware that not all people here respect our game, but please find a way to at least use its correct name in this thread. I haven't seen anyone in the hockey or football threads going in there to use intentionally wrong names for the teams and the sport. I find it extremely disrespectful, and it's the kind of bullshit that usually keeps me from posting in this thread. I'm not joking - the main reason I don't post in this thread is because it only seems to bring out the "superb owl" and "handegg" crowd. If you can't show a bit of respect for our game, stay out of the thread please.

You know, it usually doesn't. Most people who post here are genuinely interested in what's happening. It's the time of year I actually start paying attention to the gridiron again, so I am more likely to get involved. Football ain't sacred - and you, of all people, should know how seriously I take things that are sacred. Feel free to call hockey whatever you want.

I am glad that the Packers beat Washington. I'm curious how far they can go. But I'm still cheering for the Patriots, especially after the crap they went through last off-season.

College Football National Championship tonight! I sure do wish it would've been the Spartans playing Clemson, but oh well. Clemson's about to get it handed to em.

That ended up being a really good game Clemson did what they wanted, Watson had a big game, Henry did not do much outside of that 1st quarter run .. and they still lost

The St. Louis Rams are headed to Inglewood, California, the result of a vote made by the NFL's owners on Tuesday.

The San Diego Chargers may also join the Rams, but have until Jan. 16, 2017 to agree to lease terms with the Rams, according to sources. If the Chargers decline, the Oakland Raiders, another former L.A. tenant, can link up with the Rams, sources said.
The Rams will begin play in Los Angeles in the 2016 season but will not be moved into their new Inglewood home until the 2019 season.

That Packers - Cardinals game yesterday was bananas! I'm hoping AZ will be able to go all the way.

Currently, Carolina is laying a beat down on Seattle.

The Denver - Pittsburgh game should be a good one. As long as the winner of that game takes out New England, I'll be happy.

I wouldn't doubt a Seattle comeback. After that GB game last year anything can happen. It's 31-14 CAR now.

That was a pretty close one. The Wilson Newton rivalry only intensified after that. Also Denver will win the next one.
