I wanted to point out before - people are writing song alternatives without taking the theme into account.

''Heaven Can Wait'' easily can replace FTGGOG.
Wrathchild was played at a lot of shows on the original SSOASS tour though. ;)

Yep. Here some info from Wikipedia about ME 2014 leg: In the press release announcing the tour's 2014 European leg, Dickinson revealed that the band would alter the setlist to be more representative of the group's entire 1980's output.

So no surprise that ''Wrathchild'' was played.

Yeah, but it was called the "Maiden England" Tour, not the "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son Tour" Tour :P

The original press release mentioned it was the SSOASS tour revisited, featuring about two thirds of the Maiden England track list...

Guess what? That’s what they did! :p

Well the current tour is legacy of the beast and Wrathchild is definitely part of the legacy.

It could, but it still wouldn't be quite as thematically fitting to The Legacy show - in my opinion anyway. I hope they won't replace it, since I dare say it's more intriguing to the band (H's comment also supports that) and definitely much more of a statement than Heaven Can Wait, which is a good song and a classic live tune, but I don't really see why they'd put it there now... Why bother, since it's not THAT big of a fan-favourite anyway and not excatly quite as fitting as Greater Good - as debatable and mixed as it's quality as a song and reputation among fans might be. :) It covers the two main themes of the whole show and deals much more directly and deeply with the myth & religion thematics than Heaven Can Wait.

As for setlist changes in general, it's obviously possible and there might be one anyway, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

They're bringing it to countries they haven't yet visited with this show and revisiting markets that should have enough demand even if almost everyone who saw the show in 2018 would skip this time... Alright, maybe not quite, but this year-long gap between shows, lots of festivals appearances (a whole different setting) and different cities/venues should make it interesting enough to sell tickets, even if the show was pretty much or even entirely the same.

The beauty of the Legacy setup is that practically any Maiden song can be shoehorned into at least one of the broader themes

I hope they will change the setlist a little. If only the one thing they changed would be the tour poster - European 2020 leg seems to be a guaranteed flop. Most of my friends who are into Maiden won't buy tix to hear exactly so same songs as in 2018...

You could chose not to see them but it will be a long wait for the next tour, no way Europe is getting anything in 2021

That’s a really good point too. You’ve got war, religion, and hell. What Maiden songs DON’T fit in one of those boxes? :p

Almost all do fit in one, but few songs fit into all. This is why most of the debates are made when someone suggests replacing a song from the theme X with another song that fits in Y.

By the way, it is great to see that FTGGOG is H's favorite. I had a similar feeling :):
I simply cannot turn off H's solo in FTGGOG. It is so addictive, maybe because it is a rarity, I don't know. But I would advice you to give it a try this year. :)

They would probably tour Europe (at least some markets) in 2021 promoting the new album. They played in Europe in 2016, 2017 and 2018. :)

doesnt seem to the the way they tour now 2018 Europe 2019 NA, 2020 Europe+ other territories 2021 NA again etc etc. years gone by yeah they did do NA and Europe in a year not anymore I would assume
