NOW WATCHING

Sense8. A sci-fi series from the creators of The Matrix. It takes a few episodes to get into, but it's worth a watch. Although It does seem to go a little bit overboard with the frequent, and somewhat graphic, sex scenes, at times.

Psychedelic Britannia

Documentary exploring the rise and fall of the most visionary period in British music history: five kaleidoscopic years between 1965 and 1970 when a handful of dreamers reimagined pop music.

When a generation of British R&B bands discovered LSD, conventions were questioned. From out of the bohemian underground and into the pop mainstream, the psychedelic era produced some of the most ground-breaking music ever made, pioneered by young improvising bands like Soft Machine and Pink Floyd, then quickly taken to the charts by the likes of the Beatles, Procol Harum, the Small Faces and the Moody Blues, even while being reimagined in the country by bucolic, folk-based artists like the Incredible String Band and Vashti Bunyan.

No Arthas, but if this movie does well they will make sequels. As far as I know, in this one they cover the story of the very first Warcraft RTS.

The film looks decent. You can see there's an actual story to be told, as opposed to many blockbusters aimed at action and special effects. Visually it does justice to the Warcraft universe, in my opinion. There's a lot of CGI, yeah, and paradoxically the human side looks more fake because of that. Orcs are amazing. You know, people have always been saying that it would be cool if Blizzard made a full CGI feature. Here the CGI is even better than in the cinematics, so fans shouldn't complain. ;) I don't. The general public will be more critical, though. My biggest concern is that the filmmakers were so occupied with making all the CGI look good, that other aspects of cinematography suffered. We'll see. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this.

Movie night recap:

Commando
Cheesy as fuck, but so much fun. Obviously not intended, but so many hilarious scenes and Schwarzenegger's one-liners are better than ever.

The Social Network
Solid movie. Acting is top notch but the story and the structure of the movie could've been way better. Ending is also pretty bad and inconclusive.
