Off the album that not only got me into Black Metal, but bands ranging from In Flames,Dark Tranquility, Helloween to Within Temptation, The Gathering and a number of other bands:
 

The game was already amazing, but having this track playing over one of the most awesome, WTF scenes, elevates it even more, methinks. Catchy as true sailor's syphilis, too.
 

So, did you know that Gregg Alexander - that bloke behind New Radicals (You Get What You Give) or for example Texas' Inner Smile - helped write this? I mean, it's so obvious once you notice that, but I never would have guessed otherwise.

Thanks for sharing. :ok: Great song, especially the melodies and chorus. This song is very Maiden-ish, yes, but the style in the other songs from the album or from their early albums is a big Helloween and Stratovarius vibe. The vocalist sounds like Kiske (*2001 album). Classic power metal. I will listen to all of their albums. I like what I have heard so far a lot.

The verses are really atypical for the band, the chorus too. The pre-chorus is great. One of their most brutal songs. The music is really strong.

I just realised I've never played Procol Harum here. One of my all time favourites, something like what Manic Street Preachers is for Ghost, or almost.

Classic line up:
Gary Brooker -vocals, piano

David Knights -bass
Keith Reid -lyrics, yes you read that right, PH had a dedicated lyricist.

OK where do I start? Whiter Shade of Pale is one of the most massive UK hits ever and a great album too. A Salty Dog their 3rd is also great. Home, their 4th contains some Robin Trower gems such as Whiskey Train & About to Die but so do their next Broken Barricades with Simple Sister & Poor Mohamed.

I'll go with their second and in many ways their best and most psychedelic album, Shine on Brightly, 1968. Introducing their 17 minutes opus In Held Twas in I

*Note the Robin Trower lick at 13:20 and mega solo at 15:40
