NOW PLAYING

Signals is all killer no filler!
I’m more with @Jer on this one. My favorites are “Subdivisions,” “The Analog Kid,” and “Losing It,” but this album is a bit weaker, in my opinion.
I’m listening to Presto (1989) now. I once called Power Windows Rush’s Somewhere in Time in terms of sound, and I’m calling Presto Rush’s No Prayer for the Dying in that sense. Of course, it’s far from an exact comparison, but that’s the impression I got while listening to the first couple of songs. I think it’s the way the drums sound? Again, it may not be accurate, but that comparison just popped into my head out of nowhere.

So… now we know why Steve chose the sound of No Prayer, ha ha. And I’m starting to suspect that Rush has an ever-growing influence on him.

Wings Of Steel, a quality new band. Classic metal that delivers with ideas, vocals, playing and parts. I like such releases, nothing is missing. The cover is interesting and impactful.

Maiden goes Kiss "Dynasty". Wasted Years and Stranger are just immense. Also the Lonellines - omg. Also Deja Vu.

IRON FUNKIN' MAIDEN

I just stumbled across this too! Who cares if it's AI, Stranger is fucking incredible, what a banger. I thought the vocal melodies of Wasted Years were pretty awkward though, the title track had me almost convinced it was a real band, but WY made it apparent it wasn't. Still great fun to listen to.

Ronnie Romero - Eternally

This song is co-written by Roy Z. It's not bad, but something is missing, the exciting factor. The riff is kind of similar to a TMP one, the song isn't riff-y. Idk if he plays the solo on the record, but it sounds like his style (it's not that shorter, hey!).
