The other day i saw a performance at the rainbow. And how different thry sounded than now in the early 80s.
By the time of Rainbow they had definitely honed their skills! They had toured for most of 1980 and Live at the Rainbow was recorded at the end of the year to sorta celebrate the end of that very first tour.

I just find it interesting to look at how closely they resembled many of the punk rock groups of the late 70s - like The Adverts's performance above for example :)

Im not sure where it was but if you compare the sound to now is so different.
 
We also have Bruce singing Remember Tomorrow from the Number of the Beast single in 82.

But It is actually the same recording that appears on the Maiden Japan EP but with Bruce over-dubbing Di'Annos vocals in the studio. So it's basically Bruce singing the song in the studio over a previosly recorded live track
