Grand Funk Railroad filled American concert halls and sold both gold and platinum, long before Black Sabbath even hit the record market. And they also beat Ozzy & Co. in another way: As early as 1969, Grand Funk Railroad recorded a track called 'Paranoid'.

All I can say is that many years ago, when my cousin and I used to spend time together, he mentioned this band to me—he knew one of the band members or something like that. And yeah, the band was formed in a city only about 10 kilometers away from my grandma’s farmstead in the village, where I used to spend some most of my vacations.

Whenever I occasionally get completely exhausted by the new fashion bands, I cleanse my ears with the genuine, living heavy sound like the crushingly heavy Saint Vitus.
