NOW PLAYING

Oh for sure, the production is really big and the songs are all pretty long, plus the playing is more technical than in the early days. This trend started with Nightfall in 1998 but the older stuff is fairly simple, I think.
The early stuff is more thrashy ('Battalion Of Fear'). But, I suppose it's because I'm listening a lot of very technical bands like Dream Theater, Spock's Beard or Vanden Plas, that I didn't have of this vision of complexity about 'A Night At The Opera'. :ninja:

I can't get into Blind Guardian because of vocals. To me it sounds very annoying. Totally not my style.
