I agree with you. It's a masterpiece. This record is full of great melodies, powerful riffs, high singing and speedy technicality.A killer album. It's a contender for my top 50 of all time.
I wanted to add, that it's the only BG album that I understood in its totality. The other albums by the german band are too complex in their structure.A killer album. It's a contender for my top 50 of all time.
That's interesting, ANATO is usually considered to be one their more complex albums.I wanted to add, that it's the only BG album that I understood in its totality. The other albums by the german band are too complex in their structure.
Really ?That's interesting, ANATO is usually considered to be one their more complex albums.
Oh for sure, the production is really big and the songs are all pretty long, plus the playing is more technical than in the early days. This trend started with Nightfall in 1998 but the older stuff is fairly simple, I think.Really ?
The early stuff is more thrashy ('Battalion Of Fear'). But, I suppose it's because I'm listening a lot of very technical bands like Dream Theater, Spock's Beard or Vanden Plas, that I didn't have of this vision of complexity about 'A Night At The Opera'.Oh for sure, the production is really big and the songs are all pretty long, plus the playing is more technical than in the early days. I can't get into Blind Guardian because of vocals. To me it sounds very annoying. Totally not my style. The early stuff is more thrashy ('Battalion Of Fear').
