Honestly, I never really cared much about Thin Lizzy before. But they are brilliant! Just listen to this and you can notice where Maiden got the entire double-leads phrasing sound. Awesome.

Thin Lizzy were a superb band, but if you ask Steve he would say that Wishbone Ash was the band that inspired him when it came to guitar harmonies and double leads.

I personally think he was also listening closely to what Thin Lizzy were doing in the late 70s though.
