NOW PLAYING

I think that it is a better album than Senjutsu.

To me, it could be edited into a better album than Senjutsu (it has higher highes, with the title track, the final instrumental part of TRATB, Eternity and so on being possibly better than anything on the latter record bar Hell on Earth), but in terms of consistency, Senjutsu definitely wins for me. But maybe that's the recency bias *shrugs*

many great albums have been released on a September 3rd
Including this one:

I think SJ is more consistent and I like it a bit more (the highs are almost equal), but some of the shorter songs on TBOS are underappreciated imo. I love both albums.

A festival of classics! :rocker:

I've had the The Book of Souls album on repeat a while. Went a while without listening to that one. I used to think that it was a fine album, but I now think of it as a great album. Maybe not an S+ tier like Senjutsu, but definitely an A+ tier album.

Even The Great Unknown is a song that I put on a lot lately - though I still don't like that awkward pitch change at the last solo, I don't hate it anymore either.
