Oxford band Supergrass who always managed to seperate themselves from the spurious and media-driven bands of the britpop movement with a heavy brew of 60s pop, punk attitude and a sense of fun!
Wishmaster is about the perfect combination of every song being more or less a banger, with good variation in the emotions and atmosphere, with just about the proper amount of nostalgia (it was exactly in that era when I discovered the band) and the je ne sais quoi quality of late 90s/early 00s power metal which fills my heart with undescribable joy (the first two Avantasia albums are another perfect specimen of that exact feel and Zeitgeist).
I'm sorry, this is one of my perfect albums. Really, can't help it.
