KK's Priest - The Sinner Rides Again (album)
I found a new appreciation for it. Yes, it's not varied at all, but that pure (fast) metal approach with powerful and screaming vocals will always be cool. I like 7 out of the 9 songs. The wild solos are highlights for sure. I miss such solos in Priest now.
And something interesting while listening to this album- I've noticed that I'm starting to not enjoy Sneap's production that much. It's really weird because I don't have such an issue with Firepower. I listen to my favorite 5 songs from Invincible Shield (more Priest than modern Saxon and Accept with the same production), but maybe it's because of the samey sounding songs and material. I think the production is a bit different, not that up front. I like that it's powerful and clear, but I'll always prefer a production like for BNW (my favorite, like for Bruce's 2 new songs in 2001 or TOS, for example). Also, Bruce's new album sounds more organic and dynamic. Not to mention Maiden.
