NOW PLAYING

Back in September of 2021, Iron Maiden released their 17th studio album called "Senjutsu." That's what I'm listening to whilst I work from home.

I probably prefer the radio version, but I rarely listen to the song outside of the album so I usually just hear the album version. Hard to say...
I like both versions a lot.
Their epics are almost always drawn out. At least they have scorchers like BQOBD and Man on the Edge in the short songs department. A lot of power metal is influenced by Maiden, but Maiden themselves have a sound that's very much not about jumping around between parts.
This is to be expected form the shorter songs. Maiden's only fast epics are POTO, Powerslave, CSIT, FOTD, The Clansman, No More Lies, DOD, and The Talisman. Maiden's sound is not about jumping around between parts?
