:uhm: that depends on whether they come anywhere in the SE USA this year and I have the vacation time. I am about to blow a week of it looking for a new place moving back to Florida this spring/summer. may not have the money for many gigs after that

Hey guys... and everyone. I'm locking this thread over night. It's getting too excessively silly, and fact is, we have a silly forum to be silly in. Please, can we just try to keep the on topic threads a bit more on topic? I'm not saying we should be dead serious about everything, just that... this is going too far.

None. The original post indicated that if Sir Robbins had like the singing more, then it would have been amazing. Personally, I don't see a causal relationship there. Most of the songs are horrible. You can polish a turd but it's still a turd.

I agree with Mosh. I think the singing style he used, fit most of the songs better than the singing style he used on Seventh Son. That doesn't mean I like the singing on the album. Maybe the style was less of a shock for those who got into Maiden around the time of NPFTD/FOTD and weren't used to Bruce's 80s style.

Again, I've always viewed the album as under developed and unpolished. There are some great ideas and near misses here. Run silent run deep: a good song, with a cool theme and some great parts. But along with tail gunner , fates warning, it seems Steve and all kinda said " mmmm, ok good enough" without the tunes becoming "Maidenized" ( if you will) meaning not perfected. When compared to the songs on the prior albums, the no prayer songs lack the fluidity and complete feel. Now, don't get me wrong there a couple of helpless turds as well, bring your daughter for one. That song for me really makes me scratched my head. In all, yes, I suppose it could have been a great album, but it is far far from it. And comparing it to number of the beast is not even worth a comment.

No, I have little complaint about the vocals. Bruce changed style into the 90s, but I'm not sure his more flamboyant 80s style would have gone with the 90s stuff.
