Man, I'm 35 and still getting super excited about a Maiden release. It must be the only thing that hasn't changed in over 20 years. I can't wait to actually buy it, either.
LOL...whenever this thread get bumped, YOU KNOW people are thinking "That's the post! Someone has it!"

Funny shit.

I think the samples were officially released on their website or something of the sort.  I'm getting really furious that the album hasn't leaked yet.

:edmetal:

yeah, I want it to leak, but then don't.... I feel like a little kid again, but those days you didn't have the internet, or leaks (that I knew of) you had to wait outside the record store for hours on release day.... i know.. get off my lawn :0)

Ok, I've now ordered 2 copies of the Japanese Mission Edition, 1 copy of the Japanese limited 1st pressing regular edition, 1 UK Mission Edition, 1 US Mission Edition, 1 Greek edition, and the LP.  I think it's safe to say my wife is going to kill me.

It makes you wonder how we made it through our days before the internet.

Awesome.

It was easier then.  You knew what day the album was coming out on and that was the day you got it.

Could you please explain that to my wife?

Although impossible by any stretch of the imagination, it would be great if a new album was announced only two days before release.

"Hey, Iron Maiden here! We are here to announce our new album which will be released later this week!"

That would be sweet.

I would help you out but I have my own anti-Maiden wife to deal with.

After all, it's for a noble cause..:D I preordered the mission edition cd and the lp, and I fear that they'll arrive at home at least a week after the release date..:\

My wife is actually a Maiden fan and she's very cool, but I purchased two very high end custom guitars this year under the agreement that I was done spending money for the next two years.  Buying 7 copies of the same album constitutes a breach of the agreement as far as she is concerned.  She's right, but it's Maiden so I am claiming it's exempt from the agreement.

I should also mention that she got pissed when she asked, "which copy is for me", and I said, "none of them, buy your own copy".  That was a mistake.

My wife also loves Maiden, and we have no such agreement.  That being said, if I spent money on 7 copies of the same thing, i'd be sleeping on the porch.

Lol.  I can't help myself sometimes.  Too be honest, even though I work form home and take care of our 11 month daughter all day, I still forget sometimes that we have a baby who is about to hit a stage where she becomes a lot more expensive and I spend money I shouldn't every now and then.  On the bright side it's all paid for with real money, no credit cards so at least I'm not in debt for Maiden Cd's.

Who needs a 401K when you have that much stock in the Maiden merchandising machine?!  :D

Screw the kid. Maiden is more important. After all, I just put mine in his room so I can listen to SiT peacefully.

JK, of course.

I know man, I fall for it every time.  I get all caught up in it.  I know better and I'm not an easily persuaded or impressionable individual, but I have a weakness for Maiden.  I come down with a terrible case of "Oh, I have to buy that too", every time Maiden puts out a new release.

Hardcore!

My wife may kill me when she sees the credit charge for TFF: Mission Edition, Accept's Blood of the Nations, The Sword's Warp Riders, and Stryper's cover record come across

Man, you guys are such bitches. Fear Of The Wife should be written for you. Scared of the misses...when she married you she should have known she was marrying Maiden too  :)

I'm just kiddin...

Sometimes I'm sad that I don't have a wife...and then...I look at my bank statement from June.....Dallas....Houston...San Antonio....Phoenix....San Bernardino...flights,rental cars, hotels, food, looking back at the ticket prices....and at that moment...I'm content that I'm single, and still alive

I am a man who buys alone
And when I'm buying all alone
At night when she sleeps...

Nah, that doesn't work.

Too bad I became a Maiden fan a year after being married!
