True, but AC/DC and Kiss also have parents bringing their kids to shows and have a good number of younger fans. Maybe if Maiden had stuck to making albums similar to the 80's they would still be popular as long as they were up there with the very best of those albums. I don't mean they have to sound exactly like them, but just be up there in quality.  If you took all the shorter songs from their last 3 albums and made an album out of it, I would still love it. Then again, the longer songs on the albums are always my favorites. Hmmmmm, If NOTB or POM hadn't come out in the 80's and came out instead of the last 3 albums, would I love it just as much? More than likely, yes.
 
AC/DC had their late '80s slump just like Maiden, although theirs was really most of the '80s. They surprised everybody with Thunderstruck and Moneytalks in '90, then went back into a no-hit slump until their latest album, which although being successful, is really a parody of what they were. I think they are a rare exception in that they did not change and managed not to become a parody of themselves until just now. Their latest album Black Ice sucks, which surprised me because their last two albums were fantastic despite having no hits. It looked like they were pulling a Maiden (writing great stuff in their later years) but Black Ice ruined it.

Just my 2 cents on AC/DC.

LMAO.  Khan, are you surprised it hasn't leaked yet?  Did you have any inkling from anyone involved in the Maiden team that they knew this wasn't going to leak?

    :lol: im gonna see them the day before the album comes out so that will hold me over til I get the album. They are with Cinderalla so I hope they both play Coming Home :D

I'm a little surprised....but then again, not. I had AMOLAD more than 2 weeks before it was released. But remember, they DID send out promos for AMOLAD. This album, absolutely no promos went out, and all reviewers had to come to Maiden to listen for their reviews.

Right, I know you and I have discussed on a couple of threads on IMFC forum having copies of AMOLAD earlier than people realize and I've never figured out why it took that album another 10 days to leak everywhere. 

I don't suppose TFF will smell like Pez.    ;)

LOL....to this day, you are the onloy other person I have EVER known, who also realized that the SIT cassette insert, smelled like Pez!  :lol:
 
See, each time somebody says there's a leak, for some reason, they can't prove it. Therefore, they're bullshitting. You show me right now that the new album has leaked, and I'll show you a cock sucker from Guatemala.
 
Dude, even if they're PM'ing, it's still going to reach all of us somehow. It will. It should have already.  :)
 
People bullshit on the internet all the time. It's only because it is Maiden that we want to believe anyone who claims there is a leak.
 
Well, I registered and sent timfoss a PM just for the hell of it. Again, I'll update you all if anything happens.

One thing I always wonder about each new Maiden release: Will Bruce top my most favorite vocal performance of Aces High? We shall see!
