I don't have high hopes for this film, I absolutely hated the focus on humans in the last film and naturally Michael Bay had to mess it up.
My biggest hates about the first film:
-Too much human focus, I don't care about poorly-written, teen-comedy bullshit, I care about Optimus Prime and Megatron taking each other on to "The Touch". This is also a pet-peeve of mine about nearly all American Cinema and TV, why does everything, literally everything have to have a moral to the story? Can't we just have a to-the-point action film with no "don't do this or bad things happen" plots/lines?
-Annoying camera use in the fight-scenes, I hate "realistic rookie footage" shots, whats the point in making such pretty CGI images when we can't see anything because the camera is too busy shaking everywhere? I don't give one about realism in camera shots, its not like I always imagined there was a rookie camera man following Luke Skywalker around and I always wondered why he had a steady hand even in the most dramatic explosions.
-Really bad use of voices, especially during the action sequences, why have robots say cool lines while fighting each other when I can't hear them because they are distorted against generic-battle noises, sound effects, etc? Again with the unecessary realism which ruins an aspect of the film.
If realism mattered so much, how come nearly all the women in these films are smoking hot? I wish this was realistic.
As such, I expect the next film to be the same again. I'll just stick to the 1986 film, cheesy 80s US metal, deaths of many Autobots and Decepticons, Vince DiCola soundtrack, one swear word and Unicron makes this the
worst best animated film for children ever.
