Misheard lyrics

I thought it was Sailors of the sky, a half-breed, while in fact it is a hardened breed. I thought they were a half-breed because they were loyal to both the king and the airship creed. :P
 
Listen to Shadows of the Valley, in particular 1:29-1:30.

What Bruce is singing doesn't seem to me to match the lyric "Playing a tune to the old man's laugh"

I hear "playing a tune to the old mental math"

What do you hear?

Not misheard lyrics as such, but rather mispronounced ones on Bruce's part:
"Being at the wrong place, at the ve-rong time" ("The Fugitive", Fear of the Dark):wtf:
