Megadeth

love SFSGSW, the only thing that hurts the album to my ears is that god awful cover of anarchy in the uk.

I could stomach the song a lot more if it was say right at the end of the album but putting the track at number 3 in between set the world afire and Mary Jane was a stupid idea and actually affects my overall enjoyment of the album.
Couldn't agree more. I don't think it's that awful but yeah... it leaves a lot to be desired quality wise. And that sticks out like a sore thumb among what I consider to be nothing but excellent tunes. Even so, I concur that if it, was the last song, it would be perfect, since:
a) instead of just one major middle finger to the PMRC (Hook In Mouth) Mustaine would raise two in a row (either you love them or hate them The Sex Pistols are easily one of the more anti-PC bands of all time).
b) let's be honest: the song musically has nothing to do with the rest of the tracks (which IMO range from great to awesome). That being said, it has that uncompromised "I don't give a major F" punk approach, and that would be a cool way to close such a dark and aggressive album.

Bonus track on the upcoming final album is going to be a cover of Ride the Lightning. On one hand, I think that's tacky as hell; on the other, that song's got Mustaine's riffs and stylings all over it so it makes sense.

I'm two ways about it. Somehow it's kinda sad that even to the very end of the career he sill gotta bring up 'Tallica....

On the other hand - who cares and like you say It's got the potential to be very cool tribute and a cool way to come full circle somehow.

It better be good though - I mean, is this Mustaine's final chance of upstaging 'Tallica and proving the haters wrong? if the cover flops everyone is gonna be pointing fingers and it will be a sad way to "go out"

This is pretty much exactly what I'm thinking. It's petty as fuck and makes Dave look like he still hasn't gotten over being kicked out of Metallica, but it could also be a tribute to his roots and showing respect to Metallica by covering one of their songs on his final album. Which I also think is kinda lame and unnecessary, didn't Dave and Metallica bury the hatchet 15-odd years ago at the Big Four show and Metallica's 30th Anniversary?

There's also a tracklist for the new album:
  1. Tipping Point
  2. I Don't Care
  3. Hey, God?!
  4. Let There Be Shred
  5. Puppet Parade
  6. Another Bad Day
  7. Made to Kill
  8. Obey the Call
  9. I Am War
  10. The Last Note
  11. Bloodlust (Bonus Track)
"Let There Be Shred" is an embarrassing title and I will only forgive it if it features a solo from every lead guitarist Megadeth has ever had.

It wasn't long after that that Dave changed his tune to be rather hostile towards the band. In the lead up to the 40th Anniversary shows where people were wondering if former members would play onstage with them again, he started running his mouth and I immediately thought "So, I guess Jason and Ron are getting invites, but not Dave."

(Turns out no former members were there.)
