I loved hearing Afraid to Shoot Strangers. They must have had a good reason to drop Infinite Dreams. I thought it may be too challenging for Bruce but they did fooking Aces High in the encore!

I totally agree with that. Just imagine someone declaring early on that the tour would comprise 3 years and Maiden would not play Infinite Dreams. You would say "impossible!"
 
I feel like if they did the Maiden England tour now, Infinite Dreams would definitely be in the setlist. The band were overly cautious and tepid between 2011 and 2014, and probably didn't want to take any risks. Since 2016, they've been a lot more adventurous. So hopefully they manage to bring it out of retirement before they call it quits.

They really were. The TFF 2010 setlist was the last truly adventurous one until LOTB 2018-19, in my opinion. TBOS 2016 came close though.
 
I'm late to the game here, and unlike most here I consider TFF one of my top 5 IM albums. And as I read about their setlists for that tour I find it hard to understand why they have never played Isle of Avalon or Starblind. They are in my opinion the two most adventurous songs on the album (with Honorable Mention to The Talisman which they did play - and it was brilliant).

Late in the game but this sums it up in general.

I can understand leaving Another Life (hideous song) or Charlotte the Harlot behind, or Innocent Exile (tho I love the tune), but it's a shame that the likes of Prowler, Sanctuary, Drifter, REMEMBER TOMORROW disappeared from setlists after 2005, and that it took a reunion before, and now the 50th anniversary, to unearth Killers. Heck, Strange World hasn't been in a setlist since... what? 1981?

And we could go on: maybe To Tame A Land was asking too much (awkward lyrics and very fast vocal melody), but what about an instrumental every now and then? Genghis Khan and especially Losfer Words would have sounded great with the three axes.

I will also die on the 'They-Should-Have-Played-TNOTB-In-Its-Entirety-For-The-25th-Anniversary' hill. And Seventh Son for Maiden England. But especially TNOTB.

As to more recent (aka: reunion) material, I am not a fan of the song, but I admit that Isle of Avalon could have scored points in a live setting.

A 2008 version of ME original art (makes sense, they wanted to reissue both DVDs)... I'm glad they used the new Trooper art. Plus, the original ME can't be improved, just the background. This one has some nice details (Seventh Son-esque- floor, colors, moon), but the drawing and Eddie are early 2000s CGI like his Wicker Man arts, so. As an additional artwork for the booklet, it's fine.

Derek could have made an epic art piece with the Mummy, Cyborg and Seventh Son Eddies. More potential than for the early days.

If they did SBIT & ME tours in one in 2008/2009 (the Powerslave stage), it's curious what they could have done in 2012. SIT revisited, or FFTE set probably. They should have played one classic album in full.

Oh: Still life too.

And Prodigal Son, though — played/not played debate aside — it seems that it became quite the divisive tune (I heard people calling it "one of the worst IM songs").
 
Still Life and for me Transylvania in to Strange World, Out of the Silent Planet , Prowler, the list goes on.

In fact doing as Metallica are with 2 different shows in each venue would be the perfect way to showcase their full back catalogue before retiring.
 
I can’t believe how poor the choice of songs for the FOTD tour were. Not only did they pick the safest songs from the new album, the rest of the setlist is incredibly tame and lacking in any deep cuts. I still love Live at Donnington, but what a weak setlist by comparison to what came before and after.

It was extremely easy to forget Nights of the Living Dead because of no concert video from that tour. I think it's as huge of a crime too. Super happy that I got to catch the Days of Future Past tour
