Live After Death
'Rock in Rio' is, IMO, the greatest live album ever.

Hey I thought we were purely taking audio in consideration here. Not the stage show and camera work etc. Or else, take another look at LAD's stage set and effects during e.g. Rime.good camera-work equals it out.
False statement. Never heard of it at least.Isn't it true that LAD's guitars were re-recorded in studio? Read it somewhere but could very well be a false statement.
Correct, my mistake, but that wouldn't make me change my vote anyway.Hey I thought we were purely taking audio in consideration here. Not the stage show and camera work etc. Or else, take another look at LAD's stage set and effects during e.g. Rime.
No, it beat one album by the current line up: Death on the Road. The others weren't included.Apart from Rock in Rio, Live at Donington did beat all other live albums by the current line-up. It says two things to me:
His singing was better live than in studio around this time IMO. It felt forced on the studio albums, especially FOTD. I think one thing that Donington proves is that even though the band started to decline in the 90's, they were still a force to be reckoned with live.1. All the bullshit about Bruce's singing in the early nineties I used to hear a while ago doesn't affect general appreciation for this album (anymore).
Well the only albums that went up against it were Rio and Death on the Road. DOTR has never been hugely popular around here and Rock in Rio won the entire game. So I definitely don't think this is the case.2. Maidenfans don't find new live albums super special anymore.
