Speaking of movies, I pulled "Idiocracy" off a torrent the other night. Think I'll watch it tonight. I'm not afraid to get my hopes up for this one, because I've heard from several trusted friends that it's very good.

I've heard very good things about that.  I need to get my hands on Religulous.

In fact...

I am now getting my hands on Religulous.

Sorry mate, my brother called me up and asked me if I wanted to go see The Wrestler with him.  :halo:

Yeah, you've got to love a movie with Balls To The Walls by Accept in it.

Seriously though, I thought it was very good indeed.

Mickey Rourke was great.  I was very torn between him and Sean Penn for best actor.  I'm currently watching Religulous, and it is...just stellar.

Not held in the same esteem as an Oscar, but Rourke won a BAFTA for his role in The Wrestler - as you may or may not know.

I am really, really excited for the new Star Trek movie coming out in less than 2 months.  I think it's going to be really good.  I was pretty much just..."OK, it's gonna be OK, don't get any expectations" till I saw the most recent trailer, and now I am absolutely convinced.  It's gonna be really good, maybe even great.

You don't think that they have "Jonas Brothered" Kirk up too much?

Maybe a little... but I also think they are trying to justify the 'bad ass' persona that he is supposed to have-- and I kind of like that.

I like it too Wasted but I hope they don't try to overdue it too much. This is supposed to be a post-apocalyptic era that they're in.

I wondered about that... the whole "Trek Timeline" had me confused-- isn't this supposed to be a hundred+ years after 'Enterprise'?

And, yes, I hope they don't over-do it also-- I think that the biggest problem is that the first series was far less dramatic than the movies and following series, so it will be weird to see so much 'drama' in the younger versions of this crew.  But, I'm a sucker for 'back story', so I'll be there with popcorn and coke in hand to check it out-- one of those 'i'll watch it no matter what' that they count on for their good opening weekend types.

Yeah, I've been looking forward to this as well. I guess I'm one of the few people that actually liked Enterprise too.  :D

My brother liked it as well. ;)

I'm really looking forward to that film, though. I could really identify the two characters in that trailer as Kirk and Spock. It was just... them.

Ha ha!  You are right, he is!  I saw his youtube gig... what a goof ball.

Personally, I liked Enterprise as well.  I know most people didn't like it, but I liked the last few seasons.

People suck, indeed. But there are also good news: On Sunday, the Worker's Party of Korea was re-elected with 100% of all votes. :)

Way to go! No doubts there....   :nana:
