I have my daughters tonite... we may go and do something fun... or we may sit at home on our asses and watch tv.

Go find something to do, get out there, see the bloody world!

Ha ha!  you guys are great!!  We do a lot of going out and goofing off... tho usuaually, my son is along as well.  So, tonite should be a good night to take the girls out to dinner on their own.  Last night we had tv nite and pizza, got to see the new epi of BSG.

So, yes, I am taking all of your advice... tonite, we are going out to eat and goof off--  hell, its a heat wave here, almost 25F!!!

And that in Celsius is? :D

Seriously, I can't actually comprehend temperature unless it is in Celsius - so to suggest it's 25F to me is like.....

And 144.3° Desisle, if I converted correctly (which I didn't).

No, no, no...

25 F / - 3.8 C = 74 Decibels...

Also, it's 47 meters...

On that note, does this teacher belong in ANY form of education system..?  :uhm: :uhm: :uhm: :uhm: :uhm: :uhm: :uhm: :uhm: :uhm: :uhm: :uhm: :uhm:

My reply would be:

"Dear Mr. Hilliker:

Please go and fuck yourself you, your a bloody retard and should have a court order restricting you
from approaching ANY child looking for knowledge...

Please see to it that you understand this...

Authority is more important than knowledge.

I once had a similar incident, although it turned out the way it should have. My 7th grade teacher claimed that the Second World War broke out in 1937 (based on a map showing the territory of Germany between 1921 and 1937), whereas I challenged her and said it broke out in 1939. The next day, she stood up before the whole class and said I was right.

Talk about an ego boost! :D

By the way, did I mention that I'm going to see Grave Digger and Ale-fucking-storm tonight?

Grave Digger are phenomenal. One of the few bands where I can get over the terrible German accent of the singer and some embarrassing lyrics, because they have such a grand sense of melody.... I'll post a review in the Metal forum after the gig :)

Do that !

I am also curious about you opinion on their latest album (haven't heard it yet).  Cheers mate, I am going to watch a Western, bought in Alexanderplatz, Berlin, perhaps four years ago.

Ueber den Todespass (which is The Far Country - director Anthony Mann, starring James Stewart).

:)

Let me guess- the Saturn store in that big wannabe shopping mall (the one with the Burger King)?

BTW, I haven't heard the latest Grave Digger album yet, but I suppose I'm going to get to hear some of it tonight ;)

And I really hope they're gonna play "Curse of Jacques"!

The second world war DID start in 1937...

We westerners just don't bother to think about it, because it didn't affect us...

(affraid you owe your teacher an apology, maty-mate of mine...)  :D

Exactly! We bought more Stewart Westerns there! It was tough because of the German titles. :)

We'll see! ;)

Why not just say it was an elongated cease fire from WWI?  (ok, just kidding-- i never know what I'm talking about)

Had a fun night with the girls-- we went to Buffalo Wild Wings, watched some hockey and basket ball, ate chicken and ribs.  There is a 'trivia' game that pops up on a couple of the screens, so we played that amongst ourselves for a while.  good food and fun!

You're not wrong.

And that's good.  I love trivia.  I love trivia so much that I held a massive load of beer in my bladder so long I bruised it.

THAT is painful.

That sounds painful!  I had my girls in awe, cause I answered correctly the first 8 questions (I'll take credit for 6, the other two were luck with a little reasoning).

I seem to recall that the way the German nation was treated after the end of WWI was the catalyst for WWII-- or something to that affect.
