I seem to recall that the way the German nation was treated after the end of WWI was the catalyst for WWII-- or something to that affect.

"Treaty of Versailles" is the keyword. However, that was mostly propaganda. By the time the nazis had taken power in Germany, the treaty had been watered down. The nazis were only successful because of the economical crisis, and most of their propagandistic ideals predated the treaty itself. If you like, I can post my views more detailed in the WWII thread.

For now, I'll leave you with the knowledge that the Grave Digger/Alestorm gig was a blast. They didn't play "Curse of Jacques", but in the end that didn't matter anymore. Alestorm played all the hits and a brand new song, and the first support band, Taleteller, was also very good, a simple, plain, down-to-earth old-school heavy metal band that didn't try to be anything else.

I'll post a detailed review tomorrow.

That's the way it should be  :ok:
And I agree with Foro here, yes be very classic and old school, but there is also an argument to be different. Remember, when Maiden came out, they had a new and a different sound to almost anything that was been played at the time.

OK, I'm giving Boneyard a  :ok: so far!  I've heard Priest, Maiden, Dio, Montrose and Sabbath... lots of good tunes so far!  Granted, it is some of their more 'poppy' stuff...

But of course  ;) An overstatement from my side, I just wanted to express my liking for that kind of bands.
And there is nothing wrong with that stuff either - I like it too.

However, I don't tend to like something simply because it is different as a lot of bands that try to be end up sounding a mess.

Why never to fly KLM...

After every flight, a pilot fill out a form telling the mechanics what went wrong during the flight, and what kind of repairs need to be made. The mechanic reads the form and then writes down what he/she did to fix the problem. Do not say that these people have no sense of humor, since here are some actual examples from KLM pilots and mechanics.

Pilot: The tire on the left-inner wheel is almost ready to be replaced.

Mechanic: Almost replaced the left-inner wheel.

Pilot: Test flight ok, except that the automatic landing system landed awfully hard.

Mechanic: Automatic landing system not installed on this aircraft.

Pilot: Something is loose in the cockpit.

Mechanic: Tightened something.

NP: Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words - "Tell Laura I Love Her"

Drone is really, really strange stuff.

I found, by total accident, that if you hover your cursor of the icon of one of your music files whilst browsing your collection in nautilus (the file manager in Ubuntu), the track starts to play. And no, It doesn't open up another application to do this, it just plays in the background. Move the cursor away and it stops.

I thought that was a nice idea. :D

$150k for a turntable? I bet they're selling well. :P

As they say, recessions only affect ordinary folk, the rich will always be rich.
