Mostly resignings so far: Tim Connolly resigned in Buffalo, Filip Kuba resigned in Ottawa.

Trade: Columbus Blue Jackets send Pascal LeClaire (G) and a 2nd round pick to Ottawa for Antoine Vermette (C)

Cool, thanks for the heads-up.  I'll check it out!
Bummer, my computer won't pull it up.  Dunno if it is the provider or what.

Funny thing, we have this Dealer site that we use, for KTM, and it will only come up infrequently.  NO rime or reason, most days it just doesn't seem to exist, and, then out of the blue, it works for an afternoon.

That's stupid.  Your work really needs an IT guy.  Nothing new has happened yet, but a big trade is being rumoured: Olli Jokinen to Calgary from Phoenix.
Minor defenseman swap between Ottawa and Pittsburgh.
Jordan Leopold to Calgary from Colorado for a minor leaguer and a pick.

Yeah, we do need and IT guy.. but we won't even stock helmets or tires, fix the old system to function properly, or put in new parts fiche/price books, so why would we hire anyone?  ug.

Thanks for the updates-- i was reading yesterday that even tho Phoenix is way in the hole (financially) the NHL doesn't want them to move back to Canada...

And we want them back in Winnipeg!

Coyotes have traded Michael Tellqvist to Buffalo for a 4th round pick.
Toronto has claimed Martin Gerber off re-entry wavers from Ottawa.

Honestly, I would like to see more teams in Canada... your economy is better than Phoenix!!

I'm curious to see if Chicago is gonna make any moves-- they seem to have a pretty solid team this year.

Now that you say that, I remember hearing that Pronger was 'on the block.'  Which, for the 'Hawks would be great-- as a Blues fan, it'd be a kick in the nuts.

Nope, Prongs stays in Anaheim.

Calgary has traded Matthew Lombardi, a vet. defenseman, and a pick to Phoenix for C Olli Jokinen.
Tampa has traded Mark Recchi to Boston.  Big move for Beantown, they get a veteran winner.

There's a scene in that movie that has to be the worst (at least for me) scene to watch. It is where Al Pacino is standing on the roof of a skyscraper and is so precariously close to the edge. Yes I know it's effects and all that, but for me that has a bad case of vertigo, it's friggin' terrifying. The last few scenes in King Kong was no picnic either.

I suffer from vertigo as well. I can't even look straight down from a third floor balcony. During the Priest gig last week, I looked up once and noticed that there was a mirror on the ceiling - about thirty metres or so above me. So it looked like I was looking down the stage from thirty metres high. I was terrified, although I knew nothing could happen and I was firmly standing on the ground. Crazy, isn't it?

It does sound crazy, but if you do have vertigo it's not the case of what you are standing on, it's what you are looking at. I saw this program once about this person and how he overcome vertigo and part of his treatment was to lay face down on a glass floor and look down - several stories high. Despite the fact he was as safe as houses, there is no way I could have done that as I feel queasy looking out of a glass window that goes to the floor when I'm two stores high - like on the top floor of where I work or the walk-way to catch a plane at Stansted Airport (both my sister and I break the rules of keep left and walk right down the middle - eyes dead ahead).

A shame...

This film is also famous for the origins of a certain filmmaking effect:

today was a good day--- I wasn't at work for more than 5 minutes when I got the message that my Girl Scout cookies were in... woo hoo!!!  So, 5 boxes of girl scout cookies and I'm a happy man!  of course, as of right now, I'm down to 3 1/2 boxes of cookies.... but damn good stuff.  2 boxes of Thin Mints, 2 boxes of Peanut Butter Patties, and one box of Samoa's (Samoa's gone, the Peanut Butter Patties are open and going fast... now down to 3 1/4)
