Yeah, Per, it does suck to fail it, but nice you have a second shot.  Good Luck-- we can all help you study if you want!  ....since i know so much about Persian....

Morning back, LC!  Hard at it?

He is probably hard at it... watching the pretty girls in the halls is hard work!  (just kidding Deano!)

Holy floodballs, batman!

Huge rainstorm here last night, that melted away about 1/2 of the 3-4 feet of snow accumulated.  So...the entire town is flooded.  They just sent work home early because it's creeping up the parking lot and people are gonna lose their cars.  The mall is closed, the downtown park is covered in 6 feet of water, and several shops and bridges are flooded.

Awesome.

So, I just returned from this Indian Ashram Yoga Hare Krishna Temple thing because they had an all you can eat/drink offer for 6 Euros. It was of course completely vegetarian, and the only thing I really enjoyed was the rice, with the effect that I was stuffed there but am hungry now.

And I'm not joking about any of the above. I don't remember the exact name (I'm terrible at Hindu names) but it was indeed all about Yoga and Hare Krishna. There were some really beautiful girls running around, but other than that, it was a real freak show. People from all over the world devoted to Hindu religion, but not a single one of them Indian.

Wow. I'm still amazed.

I mean, I met a fructarian. A bloke who doesn't eat anything that has roots, or as he put it, nothing that was killed.

Blimey.

I'm gonna say 'crazy wow' to the three above posts.

LC, enjoy the flood, if you need a raft, pm me and I'll see what I can do!  ;)

Albie, enjoy the weather.. we are finally getting to 'spring' weather, and i slept like a log due to the thunder/lightening storm the other night-- as an aside: SMX-- if you read this, do you ever miss the thunder storms?  its my understanding that Denver gets a thunder storm only rarely.

Per-- you do the most interesting things of almost anyone that I know.  The most interesting place I have to eat here is The Great Wall-- chain food Chinese.

Anyway,... its Tuesday... we cooked tacos, and they rocked the house big time!

So 12 hours from now I will be writing the biggest test of my life to get in to college (yes I don't got the brains for uni). It's a 100 question math test that I have to write with out a calculator...I applied for civil and electrical engineering I got accepted to the colleges that are about a hour out of town and a little less reputable then the one here in Kitchener/Waterloo that I'm writing the test for.

I'm sometimes baffled myself at what I do all the time. I even got to see their temple room, but when the (South American) guru started chanting mantras, I had my curiosity settled.

"Great Wall"? That is unacceptable. Can't they at least name it something decent like Sun Tzu's Art Of Dining or Kim Jong Meal?

Damn. I'd love a taco now. Seriously. It's pretty much my favourite food. Too bad the only place selling tacos I know (a place advertising itself as Italian, run by Turks and specialising in Italian, Turkish, Mexican and Balkan cuisine) closed down.

There's an Iraqi take-out in its place now. It looks pretty good, but you can tell the people never went to law school. Apart from traditional Iraqi dishes, they also have the usual, spaghetti, pizza and burgers. They advertise with big pictures at the house front, and all their "burger" pictures were ripped off from McDonald's. Guess who's going to have a visit from a lawyer soon...

Yeah, the Great Wall is not so great.... ok, but kinda like the Burger King of Chinese food.

Tacos were awesome!!  2 of my kids eat them with soft shells, but my daughter and myself eat them like 'taco salad'.... fill the plate with Tostitos or Doritos, cover with meat, cheese, salsa, black olives (maybe a little lettuce)-- yeah, more like nachos, but it is awesome!!

Damn, now I've made my self hungry.

As long as all the ingredients are there, it doesn't matter how they are presented. ;)

Come to think of it, I haven't had anything chili-like in ages. Seriously, it may well be a year. That's scandalous. Although today I finally got myself some of that great potato salad again that doesn't have mayonnaise or eggs in it, but onions and bacon instead. Seriously, I can't understand that German obsession to put mayonnaise on everything. It's disgusting. If you have fries with it, OK, but that's about it. And you don't have to put eggs into everything either.

I haven't looked a much of it.  Saw that AVery is back in NY, but that's all I've seen so far.  I'll pop over to msn and check it out.

Anything good happening?
