Unless it wasn't played at some of the very, very early shows, though the evidence suggests it is one of the first songs they wrote/played, so seems unlikely.
I think they even played it at the gig where everything got cut short because Paul got arrested and stuff back in the Early Days, but my memory is hazy on that.

Certainly Paul did not end up arrested only once, but if that's a story where Harris had to sing, Di'Anno made it back eventually and they wrapped up the gig properly. IM the song is extremely simple, and so are the vocal lines. I don't see how Harris wouldn't single this one out for the performance, he's not a good singer anyways. I can't imagine him saying all right I need to sing so we'll play Charlotte The Harlot.
