I wonder if we'll break a record with what's coming.

Ugh. Glad I didn’t put the snowblower away yet.

Guess this shouldn’t be surprising, though, since we had a blizzard on April 14th last year.

Yesterday I made a new attempt at visiting Skien airport, Geiteryggen. With much more favorable wind conditions, I got a nice landing this time. Parked the plane and walked over to the flying club to ask if I could use their toilet.

It turned out the guys at the flying club at Skien airport were a hospitable bunch. They showed me where the toilet was ... and afterwards offered coffee, chocolate cake and a guided tour of their club hangar before I had to start my return flight!

Among the planes in the hangar were two with registration LN-KGB and LN-FBI, respectively.

LN-KGB is an Antonov An-2 owned by a club called "Russian Warbirds of Norway", who maintain and fly some vintage Soviet aircraft out of Skien airport. The An-2 is the world's largest single-engine biplane.

LN-FBI looked quite small next to it, it's a six seat Cessna 206. According to the guy who showed me the planes, they were placed next to each other so they could look after what the other was up to :D

A member of the Norwegian parliament has been caught claiming travel expenses for travels she never made, or for private travels. At least 60 000 NOK over the last year. She blames complicated regulations.

I wonder who made those regulations in the first place ... ::)
