Had my 10th flying lesson today, and the longest one to date (logged 2 hrs 20 minutes). Got to practice new stuff and repeat some earlier stuff, and practice a bit of visual navigation, as well as flying to a towered airport for the first time. Did 6 "touch and go"s at Rygge airport before returning to the home base. Other stuff practiced today:
  • Descending spirals at 45 degrees bank. Very useful if you need to lose altitude while staying within a small area.
  • Emergency landing procedures (establish best glide speed, carburetor heat on, fuel pump on, switch fuel tank, find suitable field
  • Wing tip waving while on steady course (not as easy as it sounds, as you need to use opposite rudder to stay on course - this coordination took some work)
The next lessons will be all about landings. Need to perfect my flare altitude ...

There is pizza out there SO MUCH BETTER than that. They can all close along with Domino's.
You don't know that, might not be the case where NP lives.

But I agree that finding a good local pizza joint is the way to go.
I actually quite liked Pizza Hut but that was when I was just starting my adult life and didn't really go out to many different places. Dunno if I'd still like it now.

Either way, there are some cool places here, but I still think pizza I make at home is better :smartarse:

These are not going to help your flying.

@Diesel 11 If you're going to come in here and like posts, you should also post yourself so we can help reach our goal of which we'll be dead before we see it reached. :P It will be interesting to see how long it takes to hit 200,000 though.
