When I saw Maiden in Paris in 2013, it was Nicko’s birthday. Who will take over the mic to wish Bruce a happy birthday, though?
 
I was watching a video on Youtube and the audio only came from the left speaker. I scrolled down to the comments and "My left ear really enjoyed this" confirmed that it was the upload's fault. I then went to another video and the audio was still only on the left, then realised that my right speaker isn't turned on. The first video really was panned hard left. How about those coincidences, huh?

This has been the warmest May on record in southern Norway. We've seen temperatures above 30 degrees C several times and we're really not used to that. This is late July/early August weather.

In Budapest this week, pretty warm here too .. was around 85 today .. but 15 degrees better than it was when I left Dallas ... so making out :)

Did bring my fancy Iron Maiden swimming trunks .. might try to hit a pool tomorrow
 
I had my first public academic talk last night. It was visited by the most prominent name in my particular field. If my field were Physics, he is Stephen Hawking. He considered my methodology fundamentally flawed and told me how he would fix it. Which means a lot more work for me.

Easy one. You look at his methodology and write it off as even more flawed. Call him a Marxist, that usually works with history.
