It's -38 degrees here. It's colder in Ottawa than any other national capital - including Nuuk and Ulaanbaatar and Moscow. It's colder in Ottawa than it is at CFS Alert, the northernmost permanently inhabited place in the world at 82 degrees.

It got to -1 here. Yes, minus one. And everyone is complaining about how cold it is. "Utterly freezing." Is a common complaint.

I only turned my heat on today. It was sitting at about 15 degrees inside until this morning when it dropped to 9. That's a little low, even for me.

Currently 8, was about 14 today. We don't get really cold until mid January through February. Then I'll report my levels of inner frost.
