I've listened to a couple of Sabaton songs. Nothing is screaming out at me to say: buy their album. Yet.

It may happen.

I love this cover of the Stone's classic.

Ahead of my midterm tomorrow, I'd like to send my kind regards to Roman Jakobson, James Holmes, John Dryden, William Tyndale, Etienne Dolet, Alexander Fraser Tytler, Friedrich Schleiermacher, Eugene Nida, Peter Newmark, Jean-Paul Vinay, Jean Darbelnet, Katharina Reiss, Hans Vermeer, Christiane Nord and Jeremy Munday for writing a fuck ton of stuff that more or less tells the same thing but not quite.

So I have come up with a Top 10 of my favorite Sabaton songs. In spoilers because some people don't like lists, apparently.

#10: "The Price of a Mile"
Of course Maiden's got the better Passchendaele song, but this one's a very emotional one too. Some dislike the long, repeated ending, but I like it. Drives the message deeper.

#9: "Ruina Imperii"
The fact that it's only in Swedish makes for a weird ending to the English version of Carolus Rex, but it still doesn't detract from the song. A little short, but in that shortness makes for a great little tune.

#8: "Panzerkampf"
I'm surprised this one's in the Top 10, but there you have it, it's a great song. Very catchy chorus.

#7: "Aces In Exile"
This song is rather emotional as well. The chorus is the weakest part, but the rest of the song makes up for it in spades.

#6: "Wolfpack"
It's slow, but that doesn't diminish this submariner tale. Better than Maiden and Bruce's attempts at one.

#5: "Cliffs of Gallipoli"
This song is just plainly beautiful. That's all I got.

#4: "The Art of War"
Probably their most badass tune. I feel like it should be higher, but then again, they've got a lot of great songs so 4 is nothing to sneeze at.

#3: "Carolus Rex"
I love the lyrics to this one. One of those times where without them, I wouldn't like the song half as much. Worthy of being the title track.

#2: "Night Witches"
The fact that a Heroes song is #2 is a little strange because the rest of the album is hit or miss, but this one is more than a hit. It's fast, it's quick, but it's also a really great, badass tune.

#1: "Ghost Division"
Without this song I wouldn't be a fan. I love the ferocity, the pace, it's an epic song.
