I've always wanted to come to a meetup and now is probably the best time for it. Next year should be very doable, especially if it's before September.

Okay, so logistically, let's assume it's doable. I'm assuming you're offering to host, or do we need to look for things like AirBNBs?

I guess we could put up 3-4 people at our place, and I would wager I could kick my sister out of her flat temporarily to fit in 4-5 more there.

If I graduate by February (as planned) and then soon after get a job (hopefully), then I can definitely make it, although I dunno when the tour is rumored to start.

Those two things have to happen since I lose the child support money when I turn 26 in December.

Count me in. I can plan on meeting you guys anywhere in Europe, if we're talking this far in advance. Sofia sounds fine tho, never been in Bulgaria :)

This didn't come through on my alerts for some reason...
Would you want to come to Sofia, though?

With my wedding this past March and a honeymoon in 2 weeks, I doubt if I'll be able to swing travel costs to Sofia (as much as I would love to go).
This is the big thing for North Americans - Sofia involves a significant extra expense, almost double what a flight to London or Dublin or Paris costs.

There are very cheap flights London-Sofia with carriers such as Ryanair.

Yeah, but when you pay the $50 fee to not have a 6' sword up your ass the entire flight .. it can get expensive

That said, I'll try to go ... I already warned my wife that if Maiden is only touring Europe next year, I am going to Europe to see them.

I'd love to go, but I have absolutely no idea if I'll be able to get away from work and if our financial situation will allow it. The lawyer's beginnings are tough beginnings.

It's Dingtember! There's a prank caller who tells his listeners to leave notes on people's cars saying they dinged their car with the caller's voice mail number. Then he calls the owners of the cars up and messes with them. He's actually not doing it this year, but some his fellow pranksters are. If you want to play a joke on one of your friends, he gives the number to leave on his latest prank show below. It also opens up with one of the car ding pranks. Oh, he'll only call people in the USA.

If the Maiden/Priest tour is real and Europe only I will consider looking into a trip there. I've wanted to go to Europe before going to University and since that time will come in Fall 2018, the timing works out. Dunno about Bulgaria though, affordability will play into it.
