It's meant to be a "taste of Sweden": Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, gravy, and lingonberry jam. This in their "restaurant". But in IKEA Glasgow it's chips; so basically chips & gravy. It's not far off a late-night chip-shop special.

Oh, and it's raining.

Never went to Ikea so far, but they are opening their first store here in the summer. Will definitely try those meatballs :P

A downed Messerschmitt Bf 109 was found in a marsh in Denmark yesterday, with the earthly remains of the pilot still in the seat.

The newspapers are referring to the aircraft as "Bf 109 Messerschmitt" Meanwhile we look forward to the next Bond 007 James film.

Well, I always associated Ikea with furniture only.
No. They have a restaurant, usually about half way around the store, which is a refuge for argumentative families whose children are bored sick of looking at Billy bookcases. Their biggest seller is supposedly-Swedish meatballs with lingonberry jam. And chips.

Thanks, I had no idea about this until today.

I went through IKEA once, will NEVER make that mistake again. Did not notice the restaurant in the maze that is IKEA.

My frequent concert going buddy told me he was taking his family to IKEA for some meatballs and I thought he had lost his mind. I had no idea they served food or were famous for the meatballs until he told me.
