Always funny to watch TV reporters standing outside, in all sorts of nasty weather, telling us to "don't drive over the mountains tonight unless you absolutely have to, and if you can, stay indoors" :D

My lips are tingling from eating a pizza with jalapenos.

I'm getting a train home tomorrow at 08:50. I might have some trouble along the way though as there's a big storm (Barbara) coming along tomorrow afternoon. ::)

Oh no. I stumbled across a TV show where they go through the highs and lows of Norwegian sports in 2016. Right as they show one of the really low lows ... the men's football team losing away to Azerbaijan.

I had managed to forget it. Thank you for reminding me, NRK!

I will, but it won't be broadcast before March.

So it has nothing to do with current events then. Btw, how is Berlin coping now? I guess the atmosphere isn't quite what one would expect just before Christmas. I saw in the news that they were putting up concrete obstacles here and there, not something that would wake happy memories in Berlin :(

Oh, no. I just realised I may have given that impression. It was actually for a radio documentary that a journalist is doing on Oriental culture, and she joined one of my museum tours today and interviewed me afterwards.

Mostly, Berlin is concerned with showing the finger to any would-be terrorist who tries to scare us. But it's still a very odd vibe, from places that are completely normal to the site of the attack, which I described here. There are signs of mourning - flags at half staff, dampened lights on monuments, no music on Christmas markets, and there is a reserved atmosphere in many places. On the other hand, those people who I would call actual Berliners, i.e. not those who are tourists or just stay here for a year or two for professional reasons, they are making a point out of being as cheerful as ever.

Have to get up in 6 hours, go to uni and then do a speech & a presentation in front of 100 people today. No cheat sheet either, all from memory. Wish me luck.
