That awesome moment when I'm about to go to bed early because of uni and then I remember the class was re-scheduled and I have a day off :yey:

I'll probably have to go to the dentist though :(

SLF in the early days were pretty damn good. And when they mixed it up with a bit of reggae, personally I thought they did that better than The Clash.

Sum 41 ain't bad at all but Blink (Box Car Racer for heavier Blink) is where it's at :applause:. Misfits and Ramones if we're talking old-school punk. The Clash as well.

Killing Joke counts as punk? I know only one album from them -Night Time- but it's really good.

OK, they quickly transformed into something else but I would still consider their debut punk - some of the same groovy playing ala The Clash but a tad more post-punk inspired...

Anyone knows The Sound, from South London? Post-punk, have been cited to have been influenced by the Velvet Underground, the Stooges and Joy Division.

Damn good band I think.

While never commercially successful, the Sound have long been championed by critics..
Many have said that the Sound were not given the recognition they deserved.

rougher live version here (No Nukes Festival, Utrecht 1982)

I need to listen to more punk. I've been getting into a lot of post punk though, stuff like Talking Heads and Joy Division. I also really love the first Television album, Marquee Moon. A must for fans of great guitar playing.

Killing Joke attracted a very punk audience in the early 80s, so I would say they were punkish.

That said, the audience transcendenced to a metal audience as they progressed.

Punk is pretty good. So is Post-Hardcore I found out, I always thought Post-Hardcore was suppose to be yell-y and kinda emo, but there's a lot to it. I've been listening to a little bit of At the Drive In, The Mars Volta, and Super Unison recently.

All three are great bands. I've had Remain in Light more or less on repeat lately.

For punk, Singles Going Steady by the Buzzcocks is the one you really need.
