Not sure 108 years in between champions . ..with several historical collapses namely 1969, 1984, and 2003. goat curses, black cats, you name it.

What is the history of Leicester?

First off, American sports don't have the massive budget gaps between teams in Europe because they're franchises. Leicester was a €40 million team with seemingly okay players going up against several €200 million teams (such as Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham) with world class players. They had no championships in their history, they had never even been close in fact. They were also promoted to the top level just three years prior to their championship.

Their top goalscorer was playing amateur football at lower leagues five years ago. Their best player was bought from the French 2nd League for about €500k.

Since everyone is too preoccupied with the US Presidential elections and think that choosing between Trump and Clinton was a tough (or no) choice, let me introduce you briefly to the political reality of my country, which also elects a president this weekend.

We are voting for president, but the government will resign next week as a result because our ruling party's right-wing candidate, who is a former member of the Communist party, is obviously losing to the left wing candidate, who is currently supported by the communists, but the candidate himself won't say if he's communist or not because Putin hasn't instructed him explicitly on that. The prime minister said last week he would resign but he's resigning next week because he's the man to take that decision and you shouldn't ask him too many questions anyway.

Our prime minister is a former firefighter but also the last bodyguard of our last communist leader, and later became the bodyguard of our last Tsar, who came back from exile to be the prime minister of the republic. Then the firefighter-bodyguard became the chief of police in the country but he fell out with the Prime Minister-Tsar and became the mayor of our capital. Now he's serving his second term as a prime minister and we can't wait for him to resign and run for president next time, where he would certainly win.

And Americans think they have problems.

We have Erdoğan as our leader, looking to establish the presidential system, about half of the country strongly in support of him, leader of the 3rd opposition party acting as a spare wheel to him, pro-Kurdish party politicans in jail, ISIS attacking our big cities, PKK attacking our southeast region on the daily, we share our longest border with Syria and Iraq and we just went through an Islamic fundamentalist group trying to stage a coup to take control of the country.

And Americans think they have problems.

Personally now, I sort of hope Corbyn gets elected as PM after a snap general election next year. If that happens, the establishment will swallow up into its own backside and wither away.

It will also prove if Corbynistic type socialism works - or not. Win/win.
