Does anyone believe in paranormal activity and/or UFOs and such? Based on what my dad experienced in the house he grew up in after his dad died when he was 8, I definitely believe in paranormal stuff and would like to actually witness something. And even though it hasn't been proven, I absolutely refuse to believe that we're the only life that exists in the entire universe. As huge as it is, there's no way that other live doesn't exist.

Extraterrestrial lifeforms probably do exist, but not in the shapes people conspire about. Likely very different organisms.

I absolutely do not believe in paranormal activity. I don't believe in god, souls, spirits, angels, karma, evil eye, or anything of that sort, so I obviously don't believe in paranormal activity either.

Of course there is. Not 100% sure they have visited us as yet, they may be just studying us from afar. Or they could be so much more backward than us they've barely made communication with each other.

Travis, the third sentence is the most sensible thing you've ever said on this forum. Unfortunately it's preceded by your belief in paranormal activity.

My dad's father died when he was 8. Every year, he would put a star on top of their Christmas tree. Only he could do it because he was tall enough. The year after he passed, my dad, along with his 2 brothers and mom tried to put the star on the tree and it got stuck in the middle. They woke up the next morning and the star was on top of the tree. One year, they heard furniture being dragged across the room up in the attic. They went to check it out and discovered a section of one of walls missing and an entire new room had been revealed. They also discovered a brick missing perfectly out of the chimney. Another year, my dad was hanging out with his friends and a white mist came down the spiral staircase. I know my dad well enough to where he would not make this stuff up. His brother also backs all of this up.

The lifespan of human civilization is so low compared to our planet only, let alone the universe.
A first contact is like a needle that randomly appears and disappears through the haystack, and you have 10 minutes to find it. Even if your arms are long enough, because the haystack is big as China and needle is still needle sized, your chances are...slim?

Anything is possible in this amazing, vast universe. Sometimes, I wonder mind boggling things like what if we could get in a spaceship and fly forever and ever and never stop. Would we ever reach an end? Would we reach heaven? Or hell? Take a googleplexian and multiply it by another googleplexian and keep multiplying it. What were things like that long ago? Is time infinite into the past? It's probably best not to think about some of this stuff too much or you'll drive yourself insane. OK, enough of my crazy rambling. Time to get back to the Illuminati.

No, it isn't. There are certain realities that cannot be ignored. We cannot go faster than the speed of light, for example; we cannot get colder than absolute zero. Light cannot escape a black hole.

Theories differ about what happens when we reach the end of the universe. It would be interesting to see what occurs.

Would we reach heaven? Or hell?
No, those places are human myths.

That's before the Big Bang. Due to what we think about physics, there's no way to know what existed beforehand. Likely, another universe, but possibly with different rules...

Is time infinite into the past?
No. It stops at the Big Bang.

Do you think it's possible that your dad's mom did that overnight while climbing on a chair and without telling her kids to give them the impression that their dad is still around somehow?

Not a lot of love for Daltery then. Oh well.

What was there before the Big Bang? Was it not an imploding star? If so, something existed before that time.
Probably. Some people are of the opinion that it was another universe. Others believe that if there was something, we may not be able to describe it as there's a possibility that the laws of physics may have been different.
