Seeing couples fight in public can be quite amusing.

For sure. My two favorites are

1) Being at Disney and hearing a Dad tell his wife and kids what a total disappointment they all are to him and how they did not deserve the vacation. This was at 10AM, betting that was a fun day for all
2) In the Vegas airport changing planes, I am in the gift shop getting a magazine or something. The guy ahead of me is buying a bottle of water and his wife (or whatever she was to him) starts yelling "What the fuck are you doing, you loose all our fucking money here and now you are spending $5 of a fucking bottle of water .. and on and on and on like that.

Ankara is in complete chaos right now. Everybody is paranoid, news after news of places being cleared out after bomb calls by locals. People are talking about possible attacks and calling each other to avoid certain places.

Oncoming week will be extra paranoid for us since Newroz is approaching, PKK and far-left terrorists could up their attacks to make a statement.

Newroz is the Iranian new year. Kurds celebrate it as well and it's often a statement against oppression. Pretty much every year shit hits the fan to some extent around this time.

I recall my Iranian colleagues celebrating it, but for them it was merely a celebration, nothing political about it. Strange how different things can be just a short distance away.
