Well, Wolves in the Throne Room are more Epic/Pagan Black Metal than Death Metal, although the point of them being environmentally aware and an extreme metal band is the real point.  I think it's great that they practise what they preach in their songs (well, what I've seen of transcriptions of their lyrics...they don't print them, quel surprise), although their support for nihilistic extremist 'ecowarrior' groups is quite disconcerting.
 
So, it seems I need to fight back against the invasion of cats! Trouble is, that my day job does not permit me to partake in intergalactical warfare (unbelievable, I know) - so it is best to summon up all my might for this battle when I'm off work.

Maybe I misremember but I thought the band founder morally supported the ecowarrior philosopher, but not in any other sense.  You're right that is scary and unfortunate.  I mean going back to some sort of an Adam and Eve universe if preposterous.

I agree! being able to grow your own food and pick your own fruits and berries with no capitalistic/socialist overload is outrageous! We should dress in furs, while our women sport their fur bikinis, because if hollywood has taught us anything is that prehistoric/primitive women wear fur/leather bikinis! And of course we MUST drink, bathe and relief ourselves in the same river! It is only logical. FIRST DIBS ON THE BANANA LEAFS! And I offer you, GK, a roll of them as bribe to join Albie and I against the intergalactic pest known as Yax :D
