Hairdryer started burning while I was using it. Spark pinched me on the neck but otherwise nothing happened, managed to unplug the damned thing and threw it out. I guess it didn't have a reason to live now that I've cut my hair :P

I smelled some smoke and discovered the blanket in the other room was on fire :bigsurprise:

Pretty much went like this.

Now I don't have a blanket, but what I do have is shitload of smoke in my room and a giant wet spot on my bed.

On the other hand, the fact that I didn't have long hair saved me because the spark hit me right where it used to be. Could've died.

Crappola!

But another thing, does hair catch fire that easily? I'm not sure a spark is enough to ignite hair. Especially not moist hair.

Good to know ... I guess.

Now for something completely different. The road that goes past the place where I live is now going to be extended with a bicycle lane. Enter heavy machinery and noise for the next half year ... why, you ask? It's just a small extension?

Well, not actually. They are basically moving the entire road 1,5 m further south. 200 m down the road there's a two-level intersection. Wonder how they'll extend that bridge without creating chaos. If at all. I think there will be chaos. A chaos I'll have to pass every day on my way to and from work. Hooray!

More bizarre, the entire road stretch where they're building this bicycle path is 2 km long. Two lousy kilometers! The works started August last year and they're only half way.

Admittedly, it's a bit more than just a bicycle lane, but still ...

Btw, picture of the part that is finished.
