I went to the owner's other pub to interview him, and while I was there, the staff messed up a bit with a log burner, resulting in that pub being filled with smoke, too.

My experience is that motivation comes and goes, regardless of activity. Be it sports, music, education or work. There are very few who go to school/work every day for many years without ever feeling unmotivated.

Yes but school hasn't had such an impact on my other interests before (since 2-3 years ago at least). I struggle to pick up the guitar these days because I'm bored with almost everything. Every day belongs to a routine. Also, I want to get drunk really bad but there aren't many chances to do so. I don't want to sound too dramatic either because then I'll remember this post on a brighter day and feel weird :P.

:nonono: This must not be allowed to continue!

There is always room for more booze...
For example, have a wee bottle of beer at night with your dinner. At the weekends (or any other evening when you don't need to get up in the morning for something important) maybe try having more than one beer. Say, three or four. Keep ignoring the fact that some beer tastes crap. Always have beer in your fridge; you never know when you might need one. When you feel thirsty during the day, reach for a beer instead of water (or whatever it is that you'd normally drink). Start celebrating small events in your life with beers. Start drinking beers & talking about how many beers you've already drunk. Start making friends with people who drink far more than you (perhaps dangerously so) & try & keep up with their rate of consumption over an evening. Learn to drink quickly. Start calling your drinking time sessions. Start briskly; maybe a pint every half hour would be good. Frequent places that sell beer, that's also important. Drink beer until you're literally full of liquid. Recognise, as sessions progress, that a piss-a-pint is a perfectly normal ratio. Drink until you've forgotten how many you've drunk. Try downing a whole pint, to get through beers quicker. Find some Scottish folk.

Sounds like you're ready for university.
