I've read Perun did great with his MA, congrats. On the topic of higher education, I have a fresh message to all the students around: remember to study hard and don't take your success for granted! I've just screwed myself at so many levels by failing my BA exam...

I'm waiting for information about the procedures... But there has to be some way - otherwise it would be flat out ridiculous. I mean I passed the whole 3 years of studies without any major problems and now the whole BA exam at my department is basically detached from everything else. You had to choose a combination of two subjects, which in my case had NOTHING to do with my specialisation, and write a test. So you know... An exam just for its sake and the 6 semesters of different exams are all of a sudden worth nothing. Now I can't start MA studies (although I still had worked on my thesis outline during holidays). I have to wait the whole year (and hopefully retake the BA exam at some point during this period). But there's a whole chain of consequences, personal and possibly financial, to this gap. It really sucks.

We got this wireless cam so we can keep an eye on my brother while he's in his hot tub since it's in the garage on the lower level. It has a bit of a lag to it with both the video and audio. It can actually be pretty choppy at times. When my dad video chats with his brother who lives in Thailand, it's almost perfect with very little lag. How is it that works so well while something that's right in our house and on our very fast network doesn't and has lag? It even had lag when we were testing it 3 feet away!
