If it helps, you're working at a much higher level than I ever did. We had to specialise at 16, and study for 3-4 qualifications in related subjects, so maths (and sadly, science) went, and I specialised in arts.

Once I made up my mind about my future prospects and decided to pursue linguistics, I pretty much threw maths to the garbage. Can't say I've regretted that decision. I used to be pretty good at it, though.

I also pursued linguistic studies, but I regret not trying harder with maths and physics in high school. If I had worked harder on this kind of stuff, I could be studying sound engineering...

I was never interested in maths/science fields though. If I hadn't pursued linguistics, I would go for political sciences, international relations or public administration.

In my country it basically equals unemployment, unfortunately ;)

Speaking of studies - The Book of Souls screwed me so bad :P I was supposed to be studying for a major exam, but couldn't focus on anything the whole week before the release, because I was thinking about the album coming all the time. And now I have to cram like a madman plus have 5 days to come up with my MA thesis outline. I'm fucking doomed.

Why is that? Too many people studying it? Not enough need for employment? They're not exactly "meh" departments.

Had I gone that route, I'd probably try to stay in school as an academician instead of looking for jobs around.

I guess it's too easy to get recruited, so way too many people study it. Employers don't need people with that education anymore. See, we have that mentality in Poland now, that everybody has to study in order to get successful (which is bullshit). Hence, people beset humanities, because, as I mentioned, they seem to be relatively easy to study. Here it's the best to pick technical stuff - it has the greatest prospects.
I see myself trying to advance in that field.
Fingers crossed.

Excited for Satan's new album (I called this album happening in this thread back in March lol), I even listened to Court in the Act again today

Doesn't matter. It's math.
