Interesting. It was my understanding that Sabaton can be taken more seriously than most Power Metal bands. There is always a certain amount of cheese involved in the genre but I would rate the "epic" meter higher than the "cheese" on Sabaton.

Out here strange things can happen.I'm not too sure about this; I haven't really heard anybody hold Sabaton higher (or lower, for that matter) than German power (Helloween, Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, etc.) or USPM (Manilla Road, Helstar, Omen, etc.)
See those white things sticking out of the ground? Take a wild guess at what they are.
It's just not meant to be taken seriously, and I'm sorry if people think otherwise.
If ABBA sucked...then that would be correct. Hey, I like ABBA! Don't judge me!I'll throw my hat in the ring: I hold Sabaton in the same high esteem that I hold "power metal" bands like Kamelot and Iced Earth. I hold them lower than Symphony X (but I consider them prog, not power).
All that said, Sabaton is the Abba of heavy metal.
Why would anybody judge you for liking great music? There are other genres that deserve credit than Metal. Although to be fair, a vast number of Metal keyboard warriors out there would differ. If ABBA sucked...then that would be correct. Hey, I like ABBA! Don't judge me!

You're a very serious kid compared to where Perun and I were at your age. Of course, you're living in a very serious place, and maybe that's to be expected. I don't have a problem with you disliking Sabaton. You can not listen to it all you want. I just don't think that it's fair to say they suck, when they are, technically, pretty ok. It's not like they fuck up their songs, or play songs that have poor skill required of them. They simply aren't your cup of tea. They aren't your Turkish delight. It's not my sense of humour, if you'd like to put it that way.
