Zeppelin before a show, rock gods :D

I think the fact the "NPFTD could've been amaxing" thread took a nosedive into silliness (to such an extent that @Perun has now locked it) is a clear sign that we need a new Maiden album.

NOW.

Yeah, this place is turning into a nuthouse. Do you see what you are doing to us, Maiden? Do you see it?

And one flew over the cuckoo's nest.

Very clever line, that, considering that the cuckoo dooesn't build nests.

The fact that Where Eagles Dare (the movie) and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (the movie) have so similar titles in Norwegian (literally, their Norwegian titles translate to The Eagle's Nest and The Cuckoo's Nest, respectively) made me think: What if one made a cinematic mashup of the two, where the lunatics stormed a Bavarian castle?

I think that's the point of it all. :P

I'd totally watch that.

Very possible. I have never given the title much thought, seeing as in Norwegian, "gjøk" (cuckoo) is pretty often used as a synonym for "lunatic", so I have taken the film title pretty much at face value and only after watching the movie found out the line was from a poem.

Well, 'cuckoo' is used in crazy connotations in German as well, and at least in American English too, as far as I know. So that, combined with the fact that cuckoos don't build nests, has always made it clear to me that the context is that of insanity.
